Dr. Shelley Parker

Dynamic and driven, Dr Shelley lives and breathes a philosophy of living life to the fullest, maximising opportunities and being an authentic and empathetic human

Dr Shelley thrives on seeing people achieve in life. She is energetic, driven and a force to be reckoned with once she sets her mind to something.

Mum to Bela (daughter) and Mojo (fur kid) she loves nothing more than a great coffee, riding horses, pretending to be a runner and doing DIY projects -which mostly end in a phone call to 'the Dad helpline' for a building tutorial.

Her unique ability is seeing the big picture and exceptional 'real world' problem solving skills.  Shelley is a true believer in looking at the whole story, sleeping, diet, stress, movement patterns, how we live each day is how we live our life.

She has an expansive academic knowledge as a registered doctor of chiropractor and a certified postgraduate functional and integrative medicine practitioner. She has recently completed pediatric training and has extensive skills with pregnancy, babies and children. This, put together with a 'get stuff done' hardworking farming and DIY upbringing.

Shelley was a spinal surgical candidate. Over 30 years of competitive horse riding and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hyper mobility syndrome) came at a cost. She had little results from the usual treatments offered and surgery and retiring from riding, running and an active life was not an option. So she determinedly rehabilitated herself, learning about and training her body out of chronic pain.

Over the last 9 years Shelley has developed a speciality 'toolkit' for lower back pain and hyper mobile patients. Shelley feels this has changed her life outcome and is privileged to share this in her practice with patients.

Her practice is based on sacral occipital technique (SOT) which is holistic and includes cranial and visceral adjustments, She also uses manual chiropractic techniques and has many 'tools in her tool box' to provide exceptional care for her patients.

Shelley feels her purpose in this life is to help families. If babies are calm and settled, Mums, Dads and caregivers are more at peace, the family thrives. There is clinical evidence and research to suggest that pediatric chiropractic care is highly effective to help with a multitude of symptoms that babies present with.

She is dedicated to the wellbeing of her littlest patients throughout the incredible developmental periods of life.
